Let's Catch Up

I am by no means a professional photographer nor do I claim to be.  I am just a girl who begged for a "real camera" for Christmas in 2009.  Because my husband is awesome, on 12/25/09 I became the owner of a Canon Rebel EOS T1I.  My camera saw a lot of action in the beginning, but as the months rolled by, the only part of the world my camera saw was my closet.  It only ventured out for weddings, trips, and holidays and holidays in 2010.

With 2011 approaching I was determined to make a New Year's resolution and actually follow through.

1. Work out at least 4 times a week.
Too time consuming; I am tired after work; I failed to follow through on this last year; and I am  already pretty sexy.
2. Start selling my baked goods.
I would eat everything I make and that would force me to follow through with resolution #1.
3.  Cook more often
My husband would start to expect too much and we can't have that.
4. Be more creative.
Now that sounds cool and doesn't involve sweating.

REALLY learning how to use my camera is the perfect way to fulfill this goal (It also justifies the begging I did to get my husband to buy it).  So, I signed up for a photography class (my husband paid - he stacks cheese) and joined a photography group and committed to take at least one photo a day for 365 days.  I soon learned that I really had to be creative when trying to produce a good image on a daily basis.

So there you have it! I am 31 days into my 365 Project and I have 334 days left to go. Only a month in and I have found myself really having to pull pictures of out A$$.  Good thing I got a phatty.  Stay tuned and get ready to watch me struggle to find my creative side.  Hopefully, I can fulfill my resolution and take some good pictures along the way.

Prepare to see the world through the eyes of Aasiya.
